Xbee Ntrip configuration

Q&A forumCategory: QuestionsXbee Ntrip configuration
roontoon asked 4 weeks ago
I just got a Xbee Ntrip and I am trying to configure it and I can load the configuration page but when I make any change to configure my WIFI credentials and then submit they are not retained. I have tried to reconnect to my network and I cannot locate the IP of the Xbee. If I go back into the configuration page everything that I changed is back to default settings. Am I missing something?

From your description we can’t imagine what can be the problem. Can you share a few screenshots of your process? Did you try changing only one parameter (e.g. activating tcp socket server only).

Yes only changed wifi credentials to my WIFI network and then clicked submit. Tried both static and DHCP.

Would reflashing the firmware help?

Hi roontoon,
1.Flashing the firmware would not help. Can you see the pictures when clicking in the link? It gives an error to me.

2. Another check, if you connect with a terminal program (like realterm) to the xbee+usb port at 115’200bps, the wifi sends some debugging info. this can also help us.

3. Which firmware version is on your unit? Should be 0.5.2

Using 0.5.2

More details are needed as to how to do this.

I cant use realterm as I am working with a Mac but have gotten a similar serial terminal app. I have connected to the xbee+usb port at 115200bps. The app connects and I do not see any debugging info that you are referring to. Do I need to issue some sort of command? I have also tried again attaching to the configuration page with both Chrome and Safari and still get the same results which are to log on, configure wifi, press submit, get reload notice, reload config page and the page is back to defaults.

1. After reset the WiFi outputs debug info at 115’200bps. It would be great if you could get this string. Just get ready to connect and press the XBEE RESET button.

2. Can you try to access the configuration page with an Android or Windows device and confirm the behavior is the same? After submit data gets reverted to default?

Tried the configuration page on an iPhone and a copy of a virtualized copy of windows with the same result.
This was displayed after reset.
$PESP,WIFI,AP,STA_CONNECTED,8c:85:90:a2:3f:54*32
$PESP,WIFI,A

This was displayed after entering credentials for my network. IP should be in the 192.168.68.xxx range.

I got it connected. Was trying to connect with a static address, I changed to DHCP and was configuring on my phone and it connected.

I am now getting this in the terminal window which I assume is normal. Thanks for your help.
