Would it be possible to send UBX messages over bluetooth from simplertk2lite if the tx/rx pins from the bottom Xbee header or from the Pixhawk JST(Uart1) were jumped to the top rx/tx Xbee socket pins and Uart2 is disabled in u-center – like the way that some people have done and has worked on full-sized simplertk2b?

Thanks for your reply. I’m not sure if I followed – do you mean to jump from pins on bottom of miniUSB board to top of Xbee bluetooth board?
I was thinking to remove the miniUSB board from my setup, since I am powering from Pixhawk JST. Would this still be connecting 2 TX together if Uart2 is disabled? Anyone else try this? Thanks again so much.

I wouldn’t recommend wiring the two TX together, best to use a pair of diodes and a pull-up to create an AND gate. Not sure you can “disable” UART2 in the manner you envision.
Don’t the other UART1 pins bottom-feed off the lite board? XBee connector on top/bottom has different connectivity to the ZED.
That’s likely why you’d switch the headers on a radio module, or pads on the USB dongle board.

You are connecting 2x TX together. You can try but we can’t recommend it. In this case is better if you wire the bluetooth to the miniUSB board pins.
