I have been validating these simpleRTK2B in base/rover configuration for a while and the only setting I changed on the rover side was increasing the gps rate (UBX > CFG > Rate). Now I have run into the issue where I cannot access this Rover board at all through U-center nor pixhawk. Linux cat and python serial just throws a bunch of garbage from the port as well. I have tried the VCP driver as well with no luck.
