I purchased the Surveyor Kit that comes with simpleRTK2Blite. It shipped with FW1.11 (most recent is FW1.13). I tried it with a Samsung A5, a Moto X4, and a Huawei P30 Pro.
However, when using with SWMaps for USB Serial GPS, per the Android tutorial, it will let me press “CONNECT” but the Latitude, Longitude, Elevation, and Fix type remain blank. If I connect with Bluetooth GPS instead then those parameters will populate with values but the NTRIP will not connect, and I know the NTRIP login.
Do I need to update the firmware to get the basic functionality?
I can accomplish these tasks using a simpleRTK2B; however, under devices, I see “u-blox GNSS receiver”, not “FT232R USB UART”. When using simpleRTK2B I do see “FT232R USB UART” but no GNSS data is populated.
I just noticed the tutorial had the wrong baudrate in the description. Can you confirm that it also doesn’t work when setting COM port at 38’400bps?
That fixed the serial USB issue. Thanks. The NTRIP in SW Maps is acting buggy though. I reached out to the developer directly about that though since Lefebure doesn’t have the same issue.
Great to hear, thanks for your post it helped us improve the documentation.
