No data from Survey GNSS Multiband antenna

Q&A forumCategory: QuestionsNo data from Survey GNSS Multiband antenna

Hi!
I got the Base + Rover kit working with the original antennas (from the crowdfunding campaign) without any problems. But now I want to use the Survey GNSS Multiband antenna, but I don’t get any data with them. (I have multiple modules and antennas, so a broken device can’t be the reason).
Is there something in the config that has to be changed in order to work with the Survey antennas?

Hi mhah,
Survey antennas simpleANT2B should work out of the box with simpleRTK2B.
Could it be that you placed the simpleRTK2B on a metalic surface and now it doesn’t work with any antenna? The kickstarter version was not protected against short circuit.

I can change back to the old antennas without any problem

then it might be survey antenna is damaged/defective. If the antenna was bought on ardusimple website, please send pictures of your antenna together with the your order number to info@ardusimple.com.

as said, I have 3 of these antennas, and none of them works.

hi mhah, thanks for the clarification. simpleANT2B antennas are plug and play with simpleRTK2B, there’s no special configuration to do, as long as you use the provided cables. If in your case they don’t work, we would need more info about your test setup, with your explanation we can’t guess what it is. you can post your pictures here if you prefer.

The odds of that are pretty low.
Have you tried some different cables?
Can you measure the DC bias voltage observed on the center conductor of the cable, and connector at either end?
