I’ve got a base/rover solution for autosteer on my traktor. This is working very good when i’m making a survey-in, before driving in the field.
Hovewer, in order to reach all my fields, i have to move the base. This is no problem. The problem is, when i want to use the same tracks every time. Next time i do a survey-in, the tracks have “moved” because the survey doesn’t find the same coordinates every time.
Here is my question:
Instead of using the survey-in, can’t i just type in a fixed position in the base? And the use the same coordinates in two different positions? Of course it won’t be the true coordinates, but that doesn’t matter to me. The important thing, is to use the same tracks every time. The antenna of the base, needs to be placed the exact same place every time, of course. But will it work?
Thank you all.

Yes, CFG-TMODE3 does provide for the input of the coordinates of the base at a given location.

Pretty sure that’s going to end badly. Record the survey location for each mounting point and apply those.
If you can do the SURVEY-IN using an NTRIP source, its performance will be improved, ie couple of cm rather than a couple of metres.
Consider if you can mount the base radio at a high enough location that you can get coverage, or use a radio technology that facilitates that ie antenna, amp, technology
