Missing RTCM message

Q&A forumCategory: QuestionsMissing RTCM message
Kaupoi asked 2 years ago

My base suddenly stopped sending RTCM 1005 message. Checked from Ucenter that RTCM 1005 message sending is on, but it isn’t sending it to usb or UART2. Other messages (1074, 1084, …) are sent as they should.
How can I fix it?

For some reason TMODE mode had changed from FIXED to DISABLED. Switched it back to FIXED and now it is sending 1005 too.
Why did it change to DISABLED it self?
Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi Kaupoi, did you return the base configuration to default with UBX-CFG-CFG or did a firmware upgrade? That would cause the behavior you described.

No. It changed by it self. Base has been now running without interrupts since that issue. Before that, it ran several weeks without problems.

What’s Tmode?

skypuppy answered 2 years ago

Should it be enabled for both base and rover?

Kaupoi replied 2 years ago

Rover: DISABLED
Moving base: SURVEY IN
Fixed base: FIXED

I’m currently seeing a similar problem:-(
Base Station:  TMODE -> Survey-In successful finished
xbee link -> BNC (on a second computer to log the RTCM messages)
I see all the other messages, except the 1005 in BNC:-(
I enabled the 1005 on the base station USB interface and u-center sees it about once a second.
Any idea, what I do wrong?!

One XBee module was not configured for a transparent link. I guess, that caused some problems along the way. It’s working now.
