I have the simpleRTK2B – Starter Kit LR
I would like to eventually permanently install my base station and have remote access to the USB interfaces from my network. Or at minimum one of them.
Does anyone know how I can do this. I know I have seen people use raspberry Pi’s and 3DR radios but I haven’t had any luck reproducing their results.
I’m not saying I’m closed to those ideas in fact I like the raspberry Pi idea because I can power everything over POE. And I believe the 3DR Radios use the same frequencies as the LR Radios that came with my kit so that might conflict and that also means I will have range limitations.
Thanks for your help
Do you have internet access in the area? You might be interested in the following setup:
– Shield for second XBee socket.
– WiFi NTRIP Master with NTRIP disabled and only used as a TCP client. You will be able to reach this unit from u-center from anywhere in the network.
Yes I have internet access. Would this also allow me to get the RTK to my Rover over the internet if I choose?
Also would this be possible to achieve via a wired network in anyway?
Yes you can also send RTK corrections at the same time with the NTRIP client of the WiFi NTRIP Master.
About wired ethernet, you need an arduino or Raspberry Pi to make the bridge between the simpleRTK2B and the ethernet port.
Great I ordered evething needed to do it wirelessly and with a RPi.
