due to problems converting ubx files to rinex I tried a firmware update of my new RTK Handheld Surveyor Kit (u-blox ver 1.13 to 1.30, file UBX_F9_100_HPG130.aa1ce2137147f95bbde5532f1b495848.bin). Everything went fine, at least that’s what I thought (see screenshot).
But now I notice that I can still connect the device via Bluetooth, but then no data is sent. Lefebure NTRIP Client is stuck at this point (see screenshot).
What do I have to do to get the device fully running again?
My current Configuration after the firmware update is this:
currentConfigurationAfterFirmwareUpdate.txt
After a firmware upgrade you need to apply the “bluetooth” configuration file for the kit to work: http://www.ardusimple.com/configuration-files
After a firmware upgrade you need to apply the “bluetooth” configuration file for the kit to work: http://www.ardusimple.com/configuration-files
the file
“simplyRTK2B_FW113_Bluetooth-02.txt”
(Bluetooth on simpleRTK2B or simpleRTK2Blite).
Then I try to upload it via
“Tools” > “Receiver configuration” “u-blox Generation 9” > “Load configuration” > “Transfer file -> GNSS” to the RTK Handheld Surveyor Kit.
But I get an error message at the end telling me that the firmware version does not match (see screenshot).
In fact, all configuration files from Ardusimple are made for firmware version 1.13, not for 1.30.
Also, the length of the configuration files differs.
For FW1.13 it is 21409 bytes,
for FW1.30 it is 25556 bytes.
Would You also provide configuration files suitable for the latest firmware version?
Or is it better that I go back to FW1.13?
If so, where can I download FW1.13?
Try to proceed anyway when the error appears on u-center.
1.30 configuration files will be published March 24th.
First time I have got a red alert.
Then I did it again, this time without the red alert.
But it still doesn’t work. The bluetooth connection seems to work, but no data stream to Lefebure NTRIP Client. Same as before (see screenshot).
Did you do the last step of storing configuration in flash? UBX-CFG-CFG “Save” ?
So I did it again including UBX-CFG-CFG – and it works.
Bluetooth is enabled again.
Thank You!
PS:
>1.30 configuration files will be published March 24th.
When this new config file is published, I will try it.
Hope to find a description of the differences between the 2 versions.
Now I will wait for the correct ver1.30 configuration files to be released March 24th.
1.30 configuration files available. Revert to default first if you have been uploading configuration files to your unit:
https://www.ardusimple.com/configuration-files/
First I installed my currentConfigurationAfterFirmwareUpdate.txt
Second I installed your new simpleRTK2B_FW130_Bluetooth_02.txt
(see screenshot-video)
In the background you see the u-center (1) working with the RTK Handheld Surveyor Kit connected via USB to PC.
Then I disconnect the RTK Handheld Surveyor Kit from PC and connect it to an USB-Powerbank.
Then I try to connect the Lefebure NTRIP Client.
It connnects via Bluetooth to my RTK_GNSS_644.
But the next step it stands forever: “NTRIP: Waiting for GGA from Receiver”.
(see screenshot)
Nothing happens, as it is when it has no correct Bluetooth configuration.
What can I do?
Send it back?
Install the old firmware 1.13 (which I do not have until now)?
Do you use another modification of the configuration file for the RTK Handheld Surveyor Kit?
Did you store the configuration file before removing the power? UBX-CFG-CFG “save current configuration”.
Yes, I did. In second 27 of the video I press “send”, in second 31 you see “CFG (Configuration)” in black instead of grey.
Can you try again? The file seems it was corrupted during the upload.
Today I downloaded the configuration file “simpleRTK2B_FW130_Bluetooth_02.txt” a second time, and there was a difference to the “simpleRTK2B_FW130_Bluetooth_02.txt” I downloaded first time.
Now Bluetooth seems to work, also after a half dozen of restarts of the RTK Handheld Surveyor Kit.
