F9p HC05

damianjanwilk asked 4 weeks ago

Hello. What do I need to do to make the HC05 module work? I connect to 3.3V
GND to GND
RX to TX
TX to RX
The phone connects but NTRIP No. It works on Xbee.
How do I have to connect the HC05 to F9p?

there’s no TX and RX pins in our boards, only TX1,RX1,TX2,RX2. Make sure you wire to the right one: https://www.ardusimple.com/simplertk2b-hookup-guide/#arduino
And make sure you enable the I/O rails with IOREF to the wished voltage.

I plug into the Xbee connector.

is your HC-05 3.3V or 5V version? XBee socket is 3.3V

damianjanwilk answered 4 weeks ago

3,3v.

Ardusimple Staff replied 4 weeks ago

xbee socket is connected to uart2. make sure you enable uart2 on zed-f9p at the right baudrate.

just as I plug in xbee works. when I plug in hc05 it doesn’t work

Hi damian. in the picture i see your HC05 is 3.6V-6V. This is not 3.3V. You have a 5V HC05 with 3.3V UART lines. Power the HC05 from 5V_OUT and it should work.

so I did. Next in NTRIP “NO DATA” and the phone connected to BT. I plug in Xbee, I connect without problems.

Hi Damian,
I think our support can reach until here, we provided all possible options and information for troubleshooting, now it looks the problem is at the HC05 side and maybe its configuration. The only thing we can recommend now is to buy our plug-and-play bluetooth module: https://www.ardusimple.com/product/bluetooth-module/
Thank you for your understanding!
