Different RTCM messages to different outputs

Q&A forumDifferent RTCM messages to different outputs

Is it possible to configure base to send different RTCM messages to usb and xbee?
For example 1005, 1074, 1084, … to xbee and 1005, 1077, 1087, … to ubs?

Hello Kaupoi,

Yes, you can do it in u-center via CFG > CFG >MSG.
There you should look for the message you need and enable/disable in USB/UART2.
You can also change individually the rate at which the messages are being sent.

Thank you for the quick reply. Configured the base succesfully.
Does rover need any configuring, or can it receive 1077, 1087 and 1097 messages as default?
Could you explain a bit how 1074, 1084 and 1094 differs from 1077, 1087 and 1097 in practice?

The rover doesn’t need any configuring, it accepts RTCM by default. Just configure the UART at the right baudrate if the default is not good.
The difference between MSM4 (1074,1084…) and MSM7 (1077, 1087), is mainly the number of decimals of the corrections. MSM7 gives slightly better accuracy and needs also slightly more data bandwidth.

You say:” You can also change individually the rate at which the messages are being sent.”

How to change the speed to send slow only on the Uart2 port. On USB, the message should continue to be sent at high speed

In the cfg-msg , for each message and interface there is a number. This number mean after how many positions you want this message to be output. I explain with an example.
You have the zed-f9p configured at 2Hz.
– A message with a number “1”, will be output twice a second.
– A message with a number “2”, will be output once a second.
