My Power+GPS port has broken (solder broken) from movement. I don’t have a replacement on hand. Is it possible to configure the F9P via the Power+XBEE port? I can see that Hack #2 gives some access but it doesn’t seem to allow updating the configuration. Is it possible?
Yes it is possible to upload configuration with hack #2.
Send us a picture of your USB area to email@example.com, we will check if there is something we can do.
I tried to upload a config with hack 2 but just got timeout errors. I’ll send a pic now but the area has been damaged a little from my attempts to reconnect the port so I don’t know if it is salvageable. The unit will be used as a permanent base station with a Wifi Master card so if I can get it configured it will only need to be connected to USB occasionally.
Thanks for the extra info and picture.
Option hack #2: it is important that UART2 was disabled before it stopped working. If it was not, you can use a TTL to USB converter from the arduino rails or Pixhawk connector to make this change. Also make sure you are choosing the right baudrate in u-center, is not like with the native usb that any baudrate works.
Option repair main USB connector: we see you did some attempt to repair it. It’s difficult to say from the picture, but it seems it could be repaired. If you are interested in this option we will send you the return address via email.
Hi, UART2 wasn’t disabled unfortunately. Can you send me details for repair?
Sent instructions via email.
