Which bluetooth are you using? Are you enabling data output on UART interface? Check out our bluetooth configuration files: http://www.ardusimple.com/configuration-files

I am using the shield for an extra XBEE socket purchased from you, and the XBEE bluetooth also purchased from you, installed on a Simplertk2B board. The previous thread commenting to disable UART2 may be confusing me. I was hoping to keep my current configuration, but if I need to start with the the bluetooth configuration then i will.

Hi kmel,
thanks for the additional information. A few checks:
1. is the shield powered? When using with V1 board, you will need to connect the USB on the shield
2. to which uart is bluetooth connected? you should be able to read it from the switch. If you are using a V1, it’s easier to use the switch towards UART1.

Loading the Bluetooth configuration file, it says the configuration does not correspond with the version of the GPS receiver

Yes, The shield is powered, and the switch is on UART1

About the configuration does not correspond, this means you will need to update the firmware of your board first. In the same configuration page there’s the link to that tutorial.

If the switch is to UART1, then just uploading the configuration file will not work. Go then to UBX-CFG-PRT and change UART1 baudrate to 38’400bps. This should resolve the problem.

Power supplied, Firmware updated, Bluetooth configuration installed, switch to UART1, baud rate for UART1 adjusted, connected to com port. But no gps data flowing into u Center. I must be missing something simple?

are you using u-center and windows… might be a problem with the windows bluetooth driver. Can you do a check? can you try to connect from your mobile phone? Use this tool to check for messages: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.kai_morich.serial_bluetooth_terminal
